Tofu is made from curdled soybean milk and is considered the Chinese "cheese". It is found in most supermarkets and does not have any flavour. However you can jazz up tofu, which is rich in dairy free protein, by dipping it in a glutinous rice flour batter and then coating it in sesame seeds and frying it until it has a crispy nutty coating. Then serve with a delicious soy dipping sauce or would be good with sweet chilli sauce too. This makes a great appetizer for entertaining. You can prepare all the tofu in advance and then fry just before serving.
