Wontons are not just for wonton soup! They can make a delicious dim sum snack. These ones are fried so very indulgent but great as an appetizer for a party. These are easy to make and you can make ahead and freeze them and the cook from frozen (whether in a soup) or fried crispy. Delicious served with sweet chilli sauce.

  • Minced pork 150g / 0.33lb
  • Minced prawn 150g / 0.33lb
  • Spring onion 1 large, finely chopped
  • Ginger 1 tbsp, grated
  • Low sodium light soy sauce 1 tbsp
  • Rice wine 1 tbsp
  • Sesame oil 1 tsp
  • Cornflour 2 tsp
  • Ground white pepper a pinch
  • Wonton wrapper 18
  • Groundnut oil For deep frying
For the garnish

Steps

  • Heat the oil to 180C
