It’s World Blood Donor Day - an opportunity to thank all the voluntary blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood. We lose nothing by donating but others will definitely gain. Our way to give back to society and help others. If you are donating, make sure you eat regular meals to avoid feeling light headed and drink plenty of fluids 24 hours before, but no alcohol! It is also worth keeping our iron levels up to help make haemoglobin. Iron is found in a variety of food such as cereals and vegetables. Why not make up my Nutritious nutty coconut green shake? It is full of spinach which is high in fibre and iron and lots of healthy fats to keep you full and nourished. Full recipe here or grab a copy of Eat Clean: Wok Yourself to Health. Love, Ching x
