I am in total awe of all those people running the London Marathon this Sunday 26th April. It takes a lot of training and mental endurance to be able to run the full 26 miles of the route. There are many health benefits to running such as helping to build strong bones, strengthening muscles and helping to maintain a healthy weight. This will be one of the perfect times to stock up on your carbs with pasta, potatoes but don’t forget the all-important protein to rebuild your muscle and damaged tissue. What I love most about the Marathon is the staggering amount of money raised for charity. More than three quarters of runners now do it for a charitable organization and for those wanting to stand out, there are many in fancy dress, running as rhino’s or football mascots or even chained together! Last month, there was the New Taipei City Wan Jin Shi Marathon. It is a beautiful course along the north coast of Taiwan. Maybe one day I will get to take part. In the meantime, I will be cheering everyone on this Sunday. You are all incredible and what a wonderful way to raise millions of pounds for charity. Good luck, ç¥ä½ 好é‹, zhù nÇ háoyùn! Love, Ching x
