Zero Waste Week

2016-09-08 18:17:02|Food

As a chef, I am often testing recipes and trying new ingredients.  I try to be responsible about the amount of food that I consume and make sure I use up leftovers.  With so much waste ending up in landfill, incinerators or at the bottom of the sea, it is important that we are aware of the environmental impact and find ways to empower us all to reduce our waste.    Zero Waste Week (5th-9th Sept) is an annual awareness campaign for reducing landfill.  If you sign up, you will receive newsletters and blogs and have access to an online community who will give us all great ideas and tips on reducing our waste.  Check out their website http://www.zerowasteweek.co.uk    Before I pop anything in the bin I try to think, can I reuse? recycle? repurpose?  Any of you got clever tips on how to avoid waste?  I would love to hear them.   Love, Ching x
