With it being Valentine’s Day on Sunday, I wanted share a simple and tasty recipe for the weekend. No excuse for not spoiling your loved one! My classic Beef and Black Bean Stir-fry is one of my all time favourites! Once you have mastered this recipe you can make several variations - with chicken, prawn and even add cooked noodles to the end of the cooking process and make it into a black bean chow mein! If you are vegan, try adding some sliced Shiitake or King Trumpet mushrooms. If you are short on time then you can buy shop bought black bean sauce. If not, try and get your hands on fermented salted black beans that you can find at the Chinese grocer or online, they come covered in salt so just rinse them off, crush them lightly with cleaver or back of a spoon and then add them to the wok with the rest of the ingredients. It’s worth the extra effort! If you are after a new wok for wokking why not check out my latest Lotus Wok from JML Direct. Time to get you wok on! Love, Ching x
