Hello everyone! I thought it may be useful if I took some of my key tips and ideas from my new book Eat Clean: Wok Yourself to Health to share with you all. With sugar being so addictive, we all have a tendency to crave sugary drinks and snacks. Sugar is not only present in the form of granular sugar, syrups and fructose but also in carb heavy starchy foods such as rice, pasta, noodles and bread – even the wholegrain varieties. We need to try and limit the frequency of eating these complex carbohydrates and keep consumption in balance throughout the day. This will limit the amount of glucose in the bloodstream. My book has lots more information on why we should lower our sugar intake and tips on how to achieve this. For example, for a sweet drink without the sugar add slices of pineapple and 2 slices of lime to your water and stir well before drinking. Delicious and fresh and will help keep the cravings at bay.
