Don’t worry, it’s nearly the end of the week! If you have friends over this weekend or just fancy a treat, why try my indulgent Crispy Pork and Prawn Wontons. They are so pretty and make a delicious dim sum snack. Once you have mastered the wrapping, they are very easy to make. You can prepare ahead of time, freeze them and then cook from frozen, either in a soup or fried crispy. For a vegan alternative, use chinese mushrooms which are more robust, finely chopped extra firm smoked tofu, vermicelli rice noodles and peas for the filling instead of pork and prawn. They are just as tasty! I like to serve them with a sweet chilli sauce, perfect for dipping. These little wontons resemble golden money bags or dim sum purses, which symbolise wealth and prosperity during Chinese New Year. So now is the perfect time to get wrapping! Have a wonderful weekend!
