For the Chinese, we love eating congee for breakfast. I think the West often look upon it suspiciously but it really is a warm and comforting way to start the day. A ‘soul food’ which is both nourishing and tasty! If you start your day with a bowl of congee, there will be no stopping you, although you can equally enjoy it for lunch or dinner, too!
