A Hanukkah treat

2012-12-07 18:13:13|Food

Hanukkah begins tomorrow evening and the custom is to eat food fried or baked in oil - this is to commemorate the miracle of a tiny flask of oil keeping a flame in the temple alight for eight whole days! So from Latkes (potato pancakes) to doughnuts there are some great feasts to be had!  This isn't necessarily traditional and it's certainy not to be be had everyday, but it is fried and as it's almost weekend it's an amazing treat for breakfast... my very special Crispy Fried Breakfast Eggs. The sauces and herbs really make this dish and don't forget some crusty bread to dip in!    A very happy Hanukkah to all my friends. x
